Day 39, Feb. 27

Man room invasion! I've taken over Jordan's room with blocking my mom's blanket. It's 58 x74, and that was the only room with enough floor space and limited puppy access.

Day 38, Feb. 26

Moving right along with these boxes...

Day 37, Feb. 25

I found some time tonight to work on some project boxes. I debated "showing" another distorted photo of all the goodies I got today for our knitting workshop, but decided against it.

Day 30, Feb. 18

Surprise... I came home today to find a box of goodies at my front door. Since it's for goodie bags for my knitting guild I'm keeping it a secret, so this is as much I'm going to give away.

Day 29, Feb. 17

I was on my way to work this morning when a lady pulled up beside me and said... "There is fire coming out of your back tire!" After a minute of shocked incomprehension, I pulled over, and checked it out, but didn't see or smell anything wrong. So my next stop was Discount Tire less than a mile away. These guys are great, and didn't laugh too much when I told them what that lady said. Turns out I really needed new rear brakes.

Day 26, Feb. 14

Same story different chapter. We went to Johnsonville today for Valentines Day lunch/dinner so I knitted in the car on the way. I was working on the seed stitch boarder, finally almost done, and ready to bind off the million stitches. When I was about 50 stitches from the end, I looked down and realized had less than a yard of yarn left!! So, now I'm in the process of backing out the binded off edge and last knitted row to bind off again. I was so close! But no, this really is the never ending blanket.

Day 25, Feb. 13

Saturday, just like a little kid, Jordan woke me up early to go play in the snow.  It was BEAUTIFUL outside. Thick white snow on the ground with a bright blue sky.

Bella still wasn't sure at first.

But after a few minutes, she was off making tracks in the snow.

And rolling in it and just having a good time.

We had our fun too. Jordan with his pipe.

And me with my snow angel.

However, it started melting fast. By the time I remembered to measure we had about 6.5 inches left, I'd say we had closer to 7.5 inches on Friday night. As much fun as it was, I'm not too sad it's gone. I'm not a cold weather kind of girl. I just wished it had either started on Thursday or waited untill Sunday. What's snow with out a snow day??

Day 24, Feb. 12

So.. I've been a bit distracted from my knitting by the blizzard* we had this weekend. Friday around 3pm it started and kept on snowing till around 11pm.

*In South Carolina, a blizzard is anything that sticks to the ground.

When I got home after going to the grocery store with all the crazy people stocking up on the basics, our yard was already covered.

By the time Jordan got home, so was the sidewalks and driveway.

So of course, we took the opportunity to play in the snow.

Bella, however, was not so impressed. In fact, I don't think she liked it at all.

Day 23, Feb. 11

When knitting endless rows of stockinette, a color change with a row of seed stitch can be a very exciting thing.

Day 22, Feb. 10

I just love Lancome gift time.

Knitting wise I'm still trucking along on my mom's blanket.. looks just like it did last time.

Day 21, Feb. 9

They're magically delicious!

Day 20, Feb. 8

Bella never tires of being cute.

Day 19, Feb. 7

Bored of being at home, I went to Panera for a change of scenery.

Day 18, Feb. 6

I know, looks just as it did last time. I'm so close to being done though that I'm challenging myself to finish this before I start anything else.

Day 17, Feb. 5

Such a yucky rainy day... doesn't inspire me much to be crafty.

Day 16, Feb. 4

Chilly weather calls for hand knit scarfs.

Pattern: 5th Avenue Infinity Scarf
Yarn: Noro Silk Garden

Day 15, Feb. 3

Although I have issues blogging everyday, I'm still taking photos every day then eventually blogging them. IMO, Carolina Ale House the best Philly Cheese Steak ever. I thoroughly enjoyed mine for lunch on Wednesday.

Day 14, Feb. 2

Just in time! I bought the yarn I'm using for this blanket from Hook N Needle, when it went on sale after being discontinued. I bought as much of these colors as she had and thought it would be enough. Turns out, I was wrong about the neutral color, so I searched online and Ravelry for some to buy of the same color (wasn't even worried about dye lot at this point). Finally I found someone on Ravelry who was trying to destash and sold me the yarn for half of the original price, including shipping. Turns out, it was the same dye lot I'd been using too! It came yesterday which was perfect timing cause I had just run out of the last ball I had on Sunday. So the never ending blanket goes on.. and on.. and on.

Day 13, Feb. 1

I spent some of my lunch hour ripping out the yoke of the baby shower gift I started yesterday. In addition to fixing whatever mistake I made to get my stitch count off, I'm going to change colors and go down a needle size. So I guess I didn't plan very well. But at least it's a tiny 3 month size dress and not something I've spent days on.

Day 12, Jan. 31

I casted on and started on the Little Sister Dress today. I finished the yoke but somewhere did something wrong cause my stitch count is off. So tomorrow (actually today) I guess I'll be pulling it out and starting it over. I also think the white is a little stark so I may changing that. We'll see.
