Surprise... I came home today to find a box of goodies at my front door. Since it's for goodie bags for my knitting guild I'm keeping it a secret, so this is as much I'm going to give away.

Day 29, Feb. 17
I was on my way to work this morning when a lady pulled up beside me and said... "There is fire coming out of your back tire!" After a minute of shocked incomprehension, I pulled over, and checked it out, but didn't see or smell anything wrong. So my next stop was Discount Tire less than a mile away. These guys are great, and didn't laugh too much when I told them what that lady said. Turns out I really needed new rear brakes.

I had dinner and drinks tonight at 116 State Street with the knitting guild. Much fun, good company and good food.

Day 26, Feb. 14
Same story different chapter. We went to Johnsonville today for Valentines Day lunch/dinner so I knitted in the car on the way. I was working on the seed stitch boarder, finally almost done, and ready to bind off the million stitches. When I was about 50 stitches from the end, I looked down and realized had less than a yard of yarn left!! So, now I'm in the process of backing out the binded off edge and last knitted row to bind off again. I was so close! But no, this really is the never ending blanket.
Day 25, Feb. 13
Saturday, just like a little kid, Jordan woke me up early to go play in the snow. It was BEAUTIFUL outside. Thick white snow on the ground with a bright blue sky.
Bella still wasn't sure at first.
But after a few minutes, she was off making tracks in the snow.
And rolling in it and just having a good time.
And me with my snow angel.
However, it started melting fast. By the time I remembered to measure we had about 6.5 inches left, I'd say we had closer to 7.5 inches on Friday night. As much fun as it was, I'm not too sad it's gone. I'm not a cold weather kind of girl. I just wished it had either started on Thursday or waited untill Sunday. What's snow with out a snow day??

We had our fun too. Jordan with his pipe.

Day 24, Feb. 12
So.. I've been a bit distracted from my knitting by the blizzard* we had this weekend. Friday around 3pm it started and kept on snowing till around 11pm.
*In South Carolina, a blizzard is anything that sticks to the ground.
When I got home after going to the grocery store with all the crazy people stocking up on the basics, our yard was already covered.
By the time Jordan got home, so was the sidewalks and driveway.

So of course, we took the opportunity to play in the snow.
Bella, however, was not so impressed. In fact, I don't think she liked it at all.
